Within hours of the tour being announced Celebration tour By Madonna, lucky members of her official fan club have already secured some coveted tickets (during the pre-sale which continues until 5pm tomorrow). On her Facebook page, Marie-Claude proudly displays a ticket to Madonna’s August 19 concert at the Bell Center. A member of the fan club for at least ten years, he had access to the pre-sale and its potential – and very expensive – sets, which allowed him to get tickets from Madonna’s site before the official sale at 10am on Friday.

He paid $500 per person (he bought two and would go to the concert with his best friend, a big Madonna fan) for what he considered “good tickets in a good row.”

“I took one of the cheaper packages,” said the 50-year-old fan. My friend spent $1100 plus tax per person and is very close to me. I think I have the best tickets for the price.

Marie-Claude expects ticket prices to be around $350-375 when they go on sale, but predicts these types of tickets will sell out very quickly. “In fact, he believes that the nerves of the battle should have access to tickets above all else. Even in the presale, I believe that no more tickets will be issued tomorrow. If we take the example of Depeche Mode, we remember that everything happened very quickly.

“Getting access to tickets is more difficult than ever, continuing to see countless Madonna shows over the years. Since I posted my Facebook post, I’ve received numerous messages from people asking how they managed to get access to tickets.

“People are looking for tickets in the $350 to $500 range, and that’s what makes it difficult and tightens the rope. Expect to pay $375 or more,” he says. There are some $85 tickets, but these block the views, which is not very interesting for true fans of the diva.

“I’m a real fan, for me she’s an icon, continues Marie-Claude. I’ve seen all her shows all over America. I’ve seen her in the Plains of Abraham, Miami, Boston, New York and Chicago, but in Montreal it’s special, artists want to be in Montreal because People are very involved. I usually go to see her two or three times a tour. Last time I paid $350 a ticket, so I guess that’s not bad for inflation.”

American Express cardholders in Vancouver, Toronto and Montreal will also have access to the early bird sale starting at 10am on January 18th and ending at 6pm on January 19th.

“Regular” fans can also purchase VIP packages for the Aug. 19 show in Montreal on the site. vipnation.com

These VIP packages (for non-fan members) range from $595-$2502.

“Legacy” members, meaning members of the Madonna fan club from the beginning (Marie-Claude has been a member of the fan club for 10 years and is no longer a part of it!) have access to even more collections.
