TCL has just introduced new representatives from its three lines of LCD Mini LED TVs. The flagship X955 commands attention, and is only available in 85- and 98-inch sizes. His painting was something he had never heard of before. Fortunately, there was no shortage of news for the less affluent.
It’s hard to say whether TCL is the best TV manufacturer in the world – it still has a lot to do with it. But is it the best manufacturer of LCD TVs? Looking at the announced news, the difference becomes harder and harder.
The recently introduced X955 TV delivers a maximum brightness of over 5,000 nits – ensuring perfect implementation of the HDR effect, at a level hitherto unattainable by the competition. In contrast, up to 5,000 blur zones should ensure dramatic contrast.
The X955 runs under the control of Google TV and supports both HDR10+ and Dolby Vision. It will also be equipped with a very good audio range (according to the manufacturer) in the 4.2.2 system, compatible with Dolby Atmos. The AiPQ 3.0 processor will be responsible for image processing. In the opinion of this TV, a lot will depend on the respective processor. However, if the matrix data is not a marketing ploy, TCL is preparing a product that is unique to the market in many respects.

TCL’s flagship X955 is not all. TCL C955 and C805 are the most likely sales.
The X955 will be built for the most demanding people… and with thick wallets. So the second of the new products – TCL C955 – can be considered the flagship of the masses. Especially since it also promises to be very interesting. This TV will be equipped with up to 2,000 blur zones (depending on the size) and delivers peak brightness of up to 2,000 nits. The C955 will be available in 65-, 75-, 85- and 98-inch versions. It will also offer an impressive 120W sound system that is compatible with Dolby Atmos.
The third and final new product is the TCL C805, available in 50, 55, 65, 75, 85 and 98 inch versions. It is planned that this will be a TV, in turn, at a very attractive price (we do not know the exact amounts yet). Despite the potentially low price, it should offer a 144Hz panel capable of reaching a peak brightness of 1300 nits, which would be an impressive result considering the low price. Furthermore, assuming a lower price as well, the 500 blank area on the 65-inch version indicates that the C805 will also provide very good contrast.
TCL has not always wanted to get involved in the production of OLED TVs, focusing entirely on LCD technology. It is worth noting that TCL produces its own QLED panels (and even sells them to other manufacturers, including Samsung) and is clearly convinced that this technology has better prospects. Looking at the initial specs of the X955, it’s hard not to have doubts about OLED screens.
