According to De Telegraaf,The Netherlands tops the European infection list with the Omikron variant. It was diagnosed in 16 patients.

14 people tested positive in Portugal and nine in Germany. Other countries diagnosed with the new variant are the United Kingdom, Austria, Belgium, the Czech Republic, Denmark, France (Reunion Overseas Territory), Italy, Spain and Sweden.

According to the European Center for Disease Prevention and Control (ECDC) Most of the people who tested positive were in Africa recently.
