Another big company freezes its business in Russia

“We have decided that the best solution for our company is to suspend operations in Russia and Belarus until further notice. Due to the current situation, we cannot and should not continue our activities there. We regret the huge impact this decision has had on our loyal and dedicated employees in these markets,” says David Briggs, President of Velux Group.

The group confirms that “IT systems have been shut down, all financial transactions have been suspended, and all employees in these countries have been sent home.”

In Russia, the Danish group has been active since 1991 and has employed more than 60 people there. The company has been operating in Belarus for two decades and employs only 6 people.

On February 24, the company also suspended its operations in Ukraine.
