DC and Warner Bros. Just confirmed the rumors. “Batman” is just the beginning, and viewers can prepare for the series “Penguin”. The series, with Colin Farrell in the lead role, will expand the universe created by Matt Reeves.
The movie “Batman” turned out to be a hit in the world and in Poland, but we can be sure that the film with Robert Pattinson in the main role was just the beginning. Now, however, we have received confirmation due to HBO Max commissioned the series “The Penguin,” starring Colin Farrell – the actor will play Oswald the Cobblebot once again.
The actor does not hide that he will gladly return to this role:
“The world that Matt Reeves created for ‘Batman’ deserves a deeper look through the eyes of Oswald Cobblepot. I couldn’t be more excited to continue exploring Oz as he rises through the dark ranks to become a penguin. It would be nice to be back on the streets of Gotham to fetch some,” said Colin Farrell. Madness and confusion.
also Matt Reeves does not hide that he is very interested in production development:
“Colin has exploded onto screen as Batman’s penguin, and it’s exciting to be able to thoroughly explore this character’s inner life on HBO Max.”
Lauren LeFranc (“Impulse”, “Agents of SHIELD” and “Hemlock Grove”) became lead producers on “The Penguin”, but Matt Reeves and Colin Farrell became producers, among others.
We’ll have to wait for more details about the production, but it’s worth remembering that HBO Max is already available in Poland, so in this case viewers will be able to watch the production – even though the premiere is a distant subject.
