Retirement of Pierre Bruno: This is the end of an era

Turning an important page in the history of Quebec television, during tonight’s news broadcast, Pierre Bruneau announced that he was retiring from half a century of journalism, including 46 years as a TVA antenna.

An exceptional profession

Pierre Bruneau began his career as a journalist at CFDA Radio in Victoriaville in 1972. After working for CJTR Trois-Rivières Radio, he worked at CKAC Montreal from 1973 to 1980.

He joined TVA (then Télé-Métropole) in 1976 as a news anchor.

Since 1978, he has ruled VAT 12h As well as bulletins from LCN and TVA at 4:30 pm, 5 pm and 6 pm.

I still have a passion for work. Coming to work has never been a job for me. On the contrary, it’s daily pleasure, but after 45 years in the light of TVA, after 50 years of journalistic career, I feel like a little shadow to enjoy Ginette and my life. I’m healthier and more, I’m happier in my life … “
