After topping the rankings from 2015 to 2018, Emma is at the forefront again, while Noah is no doubt the most popular male name in Quebec for the past 20 years.
Last year 521 Emmas and 717 Noahs were born. Second on the list are 519 Olivia and 709 William. The first name Liam thus falls from first to fifth, and Jacob makes a significant rise from ninth to sixth.
In terms of female first names, we see Olivia’s heel Alice (508) in third place. Leah, who was ousted after ten years in power (2004 to 2011 and 2012-2013), is now ranked eighth.
Among the innovations, note the first names Jose (344) and Felix (484), who reappeared in the top ten rankings, thus eliminating Clara and Logan from the list.
