Elon Musk wants to buy Twitter. Comments of former US President Donald Trump

Elon Musk’s purchase of Twitter has been called into question. The contract has been suspended. “There is no way Elon Musk would buy Twitter for such a ridiculous price,” former US President Donald Trump wrote.

According to an agreement concluded at the end of April this year, the head of Tesla and SpaceX, Elon Musk, was to control Twitter for $44 billion. A South African businessman announced Tuesday at the Financial Times’ Future of the Car conference that the deal could be completed within two to three months at best. However, he expressed reservations that some issues still need to be resolved.

We learned more details on Friday. Musk wrote on TwitterThat his node is “Temporarily On Hold Pending Confirmation Details Accounts That In fact represent spam/fake accounts for less than 5% of users”. In another intervention, the billionaire asserted that he “remains interested in the acquisition.”

According to former US President Donald Trump, the deal will not be finalized. “There is no way Elon Musk would buy Twitter for such a ridiculous price,” Trump wrote in a social media post he created, “Truth Social.” Especially knowing that it is a business that relies largely on bot accounts and spam.” Reuters quoted his entry.

Donald Trump Banned From Twitter

In early January 2021, Twitter announced a permanent ban on Trump’s account. In a statement issued at the time, the company said it made its decision based on how it received its recent contributions and the “risk of inciting violence.” Trump has been viewed by more than 88 million people on the site.

On Tuesday, Elon Musk said the decision reinforced his right-wing views, calling the ban “morally wrong and stupid.”

Earlier, Twitter temporarily banned Donald Trump’s account when supporters of the then-president stormed the Capitol. The same night, Trump posted a video on Twitter urging his supporters to return safely, noting that the election had been “stolen.”

Trump previously announced on Fox News that he would not return to Twitter even if Musk bought the platform and reinstated his account.
