Russian equipment at a nuclear power plant? The occupiers demand the release of the keys [RELACJA NA ŻYWO]

Russian forces want to hide weapons and military equipment in the engine rooms of the power units of the Zaporizhia nuclear power plant in Enerhodar, in southeastern Ukraine, the Ukrainian company Enerhoatum reported on Wednesday. The Russians have controlled the power plant since the beginning of March.

“The army of the Russian Federation demands that the administration of the Ukrainian NPP open its engine rooms in the first, second and third power units of the Zaporizhia NPP to deploy its entire military arsenal there” – reads the statement of Enerhoatom.

The company assures that in this way the occupying forces want to hide the equipment from the attacks of the Ukrainian armed forces. The Russian army plans to transport tanks, trucks and weapons to the engine room.

By deploying equipment there, the Russians will prevent fire equipment from reaching the power units. In the event of a fire, its risk will increase significantly, it will be difficult to extinguish the fire, because specialized transport will not be able to get there – the company explains.

“In this way, the Russian occupiers violate all the rules and conditions on the nuclear and radiological safety of the operation of a nuclear power plant!” – Enerhoatom alarms.
