A moose that wandered Thursday morning in the Beaufort district of Quebec came out unscathed: it was taken to the Laurentides Wildlife Sanctuary.

At 7 a.m. Thursday, the Quebec City Police Department urged people in the Des Suites Boulevard area to be vigilant.

At 8 a.m., the animal stopped at the grounds of a building located at 2405 Boulevard Saint-Ann, near the Les Calaris de la Conardier shopping center.

At 8:30 a.m., wildlife officials intervened with 2480, a moose named Semin de la Conardier. Firefighters and police were also on hand to help.

The cervix took the direction of the Laurentides Wildlife Sanctuary just after 9 p.m.

Another moose was spotted near the Beafort Golf Course on Thursday morning, but according to officials, it was heading towards the wooded area.
