Defense News Top 100 is a rating of defense sector companies compiled on the basis of available data on revenue from activities in the industry. It is considered an important indicator on the basis of which it is possible to estimate trends in the global arms sector, despite the limited comparability and data availability, which is characterized by all these comparisons, especially from countries such as China or Russia. The ranking relates to financial statements for 2021, therefore, as a rule, it does not include information about the effects of the war in Ukraine.
The top five places in the ranking are always American companies. What does this year’s Defense News 100 rating tell us? In the 2021 pandemic, most of the industry’s leading companies were able to slightly increase revenue.
