In the first set, Wojciech Nowicki made his way to the finals very quickly, reaching 78.78 meters at the first attempt, clearly exceeding the qualifying minimum (77.50 metres).
In the second round, Bowie Vajdic did not do it as fast as his friend, because in the first throw the hammer flew 75.78 meters, however, at the second attempt, the world champion beat his rivals by 79.76 meters.
Fdick proved that he would be the favorite to win the gold medal in the final.
It was similar to the World Cup in Eugene. The first throw was very nice, the second was much better. It’s not bad – he said with a smile in front of the TVP Sport camera.
Unfortunately, in the final we will not see Marcin Wrotyński, who hit 71.86 meters on his best attempt and took a position far.
The men’s hammer throw final at the European Championships will be held on Thursday evening.
