Four hurricanes hit Quebec on Monday

Environment Canada says Quebec was hit by four hurricanes Monday afternoon, in which one person was killed and extensively damaged in Mussoorie.

The agency said in its weather summary on Friday that an improved Fujita scale of zero, or EF, had hit Saint-Valentine in Montreux, blowing at 115km / h at 3:35pm. Between zero and five, five are the most important.

Ten minutes later, Muscovite was hit by a severe hurricane EF2 with winds of up to 200km / h, killing 59-year-old Jack LeBeau, who had taken refuge in a shed.

At 4:15 p.m., a third hurricane – and more EF0 intensity – blew over Saint-Celeste in central-to-Quebec at 115km / h.

At 4:50 p.m., an EF1 hurricane struck Saint-Narcissus-de-Pureway in S சdier-Appalach, with winds of up to 150 km / h.

The preliminary results, released Friday in conjunction with the Northern Tornado Project, located at Western University in London, are based on ground damage.
