Barcelona vs Juventus: The Catalan Duma win overshadowed Messi’s departure

It was like a thunderbolt out of the blue. Barcelona announced, Thursday, the departure of Messi. All that was left for the Argentine was a farewell press conference, in which he cried at first. Thousands of fans of the Catalan Duma cried in front of television sets.

Barcelona fans did not have the opportunity to bid farewell to the Argentine live. And there was a great opportunity to do so, after all, Ronald Koeman’s players played for Juventus on Sunday evening as part of the competition for the Gamper Cup. However, Messi did not appear for a moment to greet the crowd of his supporters. However, they did not forget about their favorites. At the tenth minute they started chanting his name.

Barcelona were leading 1-0 at the time. Already in the third minute, Yusuf Demir shot a pass to Memphis Depay, who did not miss the situation alone with Wojciech Chizusny. However, in the first half, the Polish goalkeeper saved Juventus from losing more goals.

This was the case after playing clever Depay and punching Antoine Griezmann. The pole deftly hit the ball to the side. Demir rushed to the rebound and, although he shot into the net, the goal was not recognized – Griezmann was offside.

I frightened Demir Shchinsny again soon. The best was again the Juventus goalkeeper, who instinctively saved the 18-year-old’s shot. Soon, Martin Braithwaite did not take advantage of the situation alone with the pole.

Dane managed to get into the list of shooters after changing sides, but then Mattia Perin was already defending the guests. The 28-year-old couldn’t do much more after the Barcelona forward missed completely in the penalty area after Depay’s corner kick. Braithwaite didn’t have much problems increasing his progression.

When it looked like the match was going to end with a score of 2-0, Riqui Puig hit a superb shot from outside the penalty area.

Juventus was a much worse team. The old lady managed to threaten the goal of the locals only three times. But the powerful shots of Cristiano Ronaldo and Alvaro Morata bounced back by Neto, and Federico Chiesa sent a powerful shot by the penalty area, but he missed the goal.

Barcelona – Juventus 3:0 (1:0)

Gates: Depay (3), Braithwaite (57), Puig (90 + 2)
