Sony and Microsoft sat at the same table. The companies have been negotiating with Activision Blizzard

Microsoft wants to acquire Activision Blizzard at any cost, and Sony is trying to block the deal by emphasizing the strength of the Call of Duty brand. The Americans reportedly decided to reach out to the Japanese, and an important meeting took place in recent days.

Microsoft has prepared a 10-year contract for Sony so that the company can ensure that Call of Duty will be available on PlayStation hardware within the next decade. Redmond had to decide on some compromises to be able to close the deal as soon as possible.

Seek Alpha reports that Microsoft and Sony representatives held a “meeting” to discuss the acquisition of Activision Blizzard. The Americans want to somehow smooth out the competition so that the PlayStation manufacturer is not afraid to get access to Activision games on their machines.

According to the report, the FTC is expected to make a final decision on whether to file a lawsuit against the deal in January, but the FTC wants to release information about the deal in mid-December. Today it is supposed to hold a “closed committee meeting” at the agency, during which the topic of Microsoft and Activision Blizzard will be discussed.

There are many indications that in December there will be some more interesting information about this high-profile deal.
