CD Projekt RED has just confirmed the preparation and deployment of the first update for the next-gen release of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt. Players can count on improvements related to game stability and performance.
CD Projekt RED confirmed last week that it sees player complaints and intends to respond to them by improving The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt on PC. After a few days of work, we were able to improve production and the first update for the next-gen version of the game was released.
“We just released a patch for The Witcher 3 for PC that should improve overall stability and performance and fix GOG and Steam overlays. The game version will not change. Our teams are working to improve the experience across all platforms.”

Owners of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt on Steam will download a 3GB package, and GOG customers will download 1.9GB of data. CD Projekt RED also confirmed that they have updated the situation on Origin, which will certainly please players who decided to promote and buy Geralt’s adventure on the Valve platform years ago.
The studio intends to constantly work on improving the player experience, so there will likely be more patches in the next few days that will improve the next generation of The Witcher on consoles and PC.
It should be noted that the remake of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt has had a negative impact on the gameplay for some players, as the much higher requirements mean that those interested are experiencing inconvenience when playing on PC.
