Benoit Badiachel is a new Chelsea player. The young AS Monaco player has been officially introduced by the London club. The Frenchman has signed a contract that runs until June 30, 2030.
One of Chelsea’s priorities was to strengthen the defensive line. Graham Potter was not satisfied with the level presented by the majority of players, and the current captains – such as Thiago Silva – are increasingly considering retirement.
Therefore, the “Blues” soon moved on to play in the case of Benoit Badiashile, who spent his career at AS Monaco. Negotiations had progressed for several days, and now the English finally got their way.
It was officially reported that the Frenchman had signed a contract with a new team. The contract will be valid until June 30, 2030, which is somewhat understandable given the age of the stopper – we’re talking about a 21-year-old footballer after all.
The club raised about 40 million euros from the Duchy. This is the tenth highest transfer in the history of Monaco – it received more, among other things, Fabinho (45 million euros) and Bernardo Silva (50 million euros).
Benoit Badiachel enjoyed a solid reputation as one of the best defenders of the younger generation in Ligue 1. The defender appeared in 135 matches for his parent club – scoring 6 goals and recording 3 assists.
