Black Lives Matter fresco destroyed in Quebec

Painting as a tribute to the movement Black Lives Matter (Black Lives Count), opened three days ago on the corner of Saint-Real and Oliver-Robitail streets in the Saint-Jean-Baptist district of Quebec, was demolished.

Artist Wardin Pontois’ photo gallery was covered in graffiti when TVA Novellas appeared on Thursday.

The words “capequoi?” The work is written in large black letters in more than one place.

This work is designed to showcase people from different cultural communities in Quebec.

It is not yet clear why the gallery was distorted.

According to Mehdi Allos – one of those represented at Fresco – it is clear that this is a racist gesture.

“Proper racism is deeply ingrained in our society. Again, we have good evidence of this,” he quit.

However, it is not surprising that this kind of event happened so quickly.

“I’m a little pathetic. I said to my girlfriend, ‘You see, we’m going to mark our face …’ It happened,” he lamented.
