Actress Annie Wersching, known for her roles in TV series 24, Posh and Timeless, died early Sunday of cancer, Hollywood website ‘Deadline’ reported. She is 45 years old.
She continued to tour after being diagnosed with cancer in 2020, starring in Star Trek: Picard Season 2 as Borg Queen and The Rookie. He also voiced Tess for the popular video game The Last of Us, which was adapted into a television series by HBO.
In a statement, Annie Wersching’s husband, actor Stephen Full, said: “Today there is a cavernous hole in the soul of this family. But she left us the tools to fill it. She found wonder in the simplest moments. She didn’t need music to dance. She taught us not to wait for adventure. . Go find her. She’s everywhere. We’ll find her.”
Born and raised in St. Louis, her first major role was Amelia Joffe on General Hospital. She played Renee Walker in seasons seven and eight of 24. She has starred in The Vampire Diaries, Runaways, Extensive, Timeless, Bosch and The Rookie in “Deadline” magazine.
