Kevin Feige is undoubtedly one of the most powerful men in the film industry. So it’s no wonder he has bigger ambitions and is willing to give up the superhero world he’s been building for fifteen years in favor of a major promotion that will help him become Disney’s No. 2 in the future. This news was recently reported by Jeff Sneider, who believes that Kevin Feige could replace Alan Bergman and become president of Walt Disney Studios.
Kevin Feige gets a bigger role in Disney?
Bergman held the position from 2020 to 2023, but after the studio’s recent restructuring, he was promoted to chairman of Disney Entertainment, Control over not only the production and distribution of theatrical films, but also television series and titles intended for broadcast. Bergman is said to be about to take over as CEO of Disney following the departure of Bob Iger.
And Kevin Feige, who could be promoted to the new head of Walt Disney Studios, will also enter the scene. The producer will oversee not only titles from Disney and Marvel Studios, but also all film and series productions from Lucasfilm, Pixar and 20th Century Studios. With rumors of Kathleen Kennedy being fired from Lucasfilm mounting, Feige might be the perfect candidate to gain more power at the studio. It would also benefit Marvel itself, which would pass into new hands and a fresh view of the evolution of the universe could prevent the emergence of such productions as Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantomania, which were not well received by critics.
Schneider believes that Kevin Feige intends to climb the career ladder at Disney. His ambition is to become No. 2 at the studio, and in the distant future even take over as President of Disney.
