Aymeric Laporte bids farewell to Manchester City. The new center-back club will be Al-Nassr.
Aymeric Laporte has moved from Manchester City to Al Nasr on a permanent transfer. According to Fabrizio Romano, it would be £25m, or €29.17m – likely with bonuses already. The central defender has signed a contract with the new club until June 30, 2026. Various sources write about his wages at the level of 20-25 million euros over a period of 12 months.
And at the beginning of 2018, the “citizens” paid Athletic Club 65 million euros for the defender. Only Virgil van Dijk was a more expensive defender at the time.
The Spanish international, of French origin, played 180 matches for Mouloudia. He scored 12 goals and four assists.
He participated in only 12 Premier League matches last season. He suffered a knee injury early in the season. Later, he sat on the bench regularly and information surfaced that he might leave the English champions team before a specific offer from Saudi Arabia appeared.
The 29-year-old leaves his current club with five league titles, two domestic cups, four League Cups, two Community Shield titles, and a Champions League and UEFA Super Cup triumph.
He will join Cristiano Ronaldo, Marcelo Brozovic, Siko Fofana, Sadio Mane, Ottavio, Alex Telles and more.
