Wearing makeup boosts your confidence, Lady Gaga admits.
During an interview with E! News, the pop star and founder of beauty brand House Labs, opened up about how her makeup routine helped her become more confident.
“The two things I love about makeup in my self-care routine is that I know it’s an extension of my morning skin care routine,” the 37-year-old star said. Secondly, it gives me hope. I feel like I can brave anything that comes my way because I take time for myself.
While she doesn’t think makeup is an everyday necessity, the ‘Poker Face’ singer has adapted her beauty to feel good on the inside.
“It has been therapeutic for me since childhood. “I was incredibly insecure as a teenager, and when I graduated high school and started striking out on my own, I discovered that makeup had the power to transform who I was,” she says.
Lady Gaga, real name Stefani Germanotta, said makeup helped her feel more confident. “I realized I could express myself better,” she said. And it had more to do with how I felt than how I looked. I always say that because everyone’s makeup style is unique.”
The artist added about House Labs, which he founded in 2019: “With House Labs, I want people to know that it’s not about trying to look like me. It looks just like you.”
