“The Amazing Story of Henry Sugar” is an adaptation of the famous story by Roald Dahl It is about a rich man who learns about the existence of a teacher who can see without using his eyes and decides to master this art himself so that he can cheat at gambling.

And in the short story collection Henry Sugar there’s also a story called The Swan, which we’ve also adapted for the screen, starring Rupert Friend. -Anderson said- We also filmed an old story called “Poison,” which I always loved very much. And then we started a very strange story called: “The Ratcatcher”, derived from “Claud’s Dog” – a somewhat unknown book by Dahl, set in East Anglia. It is a quaint story, full of rural atmosphere. All these stories are strange.
“The Amazing Story of Henry Sugar” It will premiere on Netflix on September 27. The next installments of the anthology will debut on the following days, respectively: September 28 (“The Swan”), September 29 (“The Mouse”) and September 30 (“Venom”). Anderson, who for years has adapted Dahl’s other work, Marvelous Mr. Fox, has announced that he is taking a break from the British writer’s work for the time being.
