- “We have great value in the team, many high-quality players and that makes me very happy,” said Pawel Vszolek
- – A lot of people talk about that and I don’t agree with it. I will always say my opinion on this matter. “I think the acuity of our Ekstraklasa is very high,” he said
- Paweł Wszołek played for Legia twice. First in 2019-2021, then from the beginning of 2022 until now. In total, he played 129 matches for the team, scoring 27 goals and providing 37 assists.

Legia Warsaw have been impressive so far this season. The Military side advanced to the European Conference League group, and in the first round they sensationally defeated favorites Aston Villa 3-2 at home.
– We entered the European Conference League with hard work. We had tough matches, the opponents were demanding, and that was no coincidence. We have a lot of value in the team, a lot of quality players and I’m very happy about that, because I would definitely prefer a 3-2, where we created scoring chances thanks to good actions, rather than a 1-0, exhausting after that. An accidental goal as the team defended the whole match – says Paweł Wszołek.
Admiration for Ernest Musi
Recently, one can notice the explosion of Ernst Musi’s form. Al-Albani scored two goals in the match against the England national team. The 22-year-old impresses with his dribbling, calm and, above all, self-confidence.
As for Ernest, I saw great quality in him from the first training. You can see that it has huge potential and you can see that it uses it more and more every month. We know what its advantages are. Left foot, right foot, dribbling, etc. He is happy to have him on our team. He shows this quality especially in matches. “It’s a big advantage for us to have a player who can shoot with both his right and left foot,” said Wszołek. In “Football Mission”.
Severity in PKO BP Ekstraklasa operations versus severity in Europe
It is assumed that when you compare our league with the best leagues in the world, the playing intensity of Polish teams is definitely lower. It’s completely different, and PKO BP Ekstraklasa has nothing to be ashamed of, said Wszołek.
– A lot of people talk about that and I don’t agree with it. I will always say my opinion on this matter. I think the intensity of our Ekstraklasa is very high. This is not just my personal opinion. I have many friends who are analysts from different teams, whether from the Bundesliga or England, and they also analyze matches. Maybe they look more statistically at kilometers. I believe our league is very strong, often based on strength and preparation. These teams, theoretically doomed before the season, are well prepared for the season and going well. Of course, there are matches in Europe where the excitement is high, but I don’t think our Ekstraklasa team is lagging behind in this regard.
Paweł Wszołek and his description of the form
Despite being 31 years old, the Pole still impresses with his movement skills and speed, which are crucial in his position. According to him, without proper regeneration and good nutrition, it is difficult to achieve anything in modern football.
-I’m ready and adapted to play like this every three days, so I feel good. He gets better with every match. At least that’s how I feel. Of course, we cannot forget about renewal. It may be a machine, but what’s the point if you won’t eat healthy and won’t sleep. He said: If you don’t get your energy back, you will play three or four matches and end up getting injured. – The most important thing is to take care of yourself and realize that the game has changed a little bit. There are more and more matches, the intensity is increasing and those who do not take care of themselves are falling off the train. I don’t have a problem with that. He added: “I hope to play until I am 40.”
Paweł Wszołek’s motivations
Wszołek also referred to his motivations in “Mission Futbol”. He revealed that his dream has always been to help his loved ones.
– I told myself when I was a young child that my dream was to leave my home, help my family, and buy an apartment for my mother, brother, sister, and father. I achieved these goals very quickly and was really happy. “That has always been my motivation and I never had a moment of doubt,” he said.
Legia defeated Gornik Zabrze 2-1 in the final round of the PKO BP Ekstraklasa, and although they have played two matches less, they are in second place in the league table. One of the featured matches will take place on Wednesday 27 September at 20.00 away against Bogo Szczecin.
