It looks like David Gordon Green’s “Halloween Finale” has finally ended things between Michael Myers and Laurie Strode. But it turns out that the trilogy produced by Universal Pictures, Blumhouse and Miramax doesn’t have to be the end of this story.

According to the website Bloody Disgusting, which specializes in horror films, the public auction for the rights to the movie “Halloween” is now taking place, and that the “Miramax” studio that is selling these films is open to both cinematic and television projects. Offers come from movie studios and streaming platforms. At this point, it’s unknown what the future of the series is, but one thing seems certain: Michael Myers will return.

The first film in the series, directed by John Carpenter, was released in 1978. Over the years, there have been a series of sequels, culminating in a three-part retelling by David Gordon Green.
