Justyna Kowalczyk-Tilecki has revealed who she will be voting for
“I will vote because the important decision that will directly affect my life and the life of Hugonic will depend on the results of the election. I will give my vote to Jacob Kott. The fact that he was an athlete is the least important to me. He is a wise man.” “An eloquent man who knows economics,” wrote Justyna Kowalczyk-Tekele in her entry on the X platform (formerly Twitter).
The Olympic champion added in a comment on her post: “PS Jakub never asked for my support. I learned about his candidacy from the posters.”
Jacob Cote is running again
Jakub Kot is a former Polish ski jumper, World Junior Championships medalist and two-time Winter Universiade medalist, and FIS technical delegate. In 2018, Kot ran unsuccessfully from the Civic Coalition list for the Lesser Poland Regional Council. In the current elections, Kot, an expert for TVN and Eurosport, is also one of the Civic Alliance candidates. The 33-year-old is ranked sixth on the KO list in the 14th District, which covers the following counties: Tatra, Nowy Targ, Limanowski, Nowy Such and Gorlice. Jacob Kot is Maciej Kot’s brother.
Interestingly, Jacob Cote is not the most prominent ski jumper in this year’s election. In position No. 3, also on the Civic Coalition list, in Bielsko County, is the former president of the PZN, Apollonius Tajner.
