Frankenstein: Guillermo del Toro adapts the horror classic
We start filming in February. This is the film I’ve wanted to make for the past 50 years, ever since I first saw the original Frankenstein. -The manager says- Then I had an epiphany. The Austrian actor already had the opportunity to collaborate with del Toro in the Oscar-winning animated film “Pinocchio.” In it, he voiced the evil Count Fawlty.

This year we got to see him in the Amazon Prime Video series “The Consultant”.
“Frankenstein”: the plot of a horror film
“Frankenstein” It is a legendary gothic novel by Mary Shelley, published in 1818. Its title character is a brilliant, death-defying scientist who creates a human monster from the fragments of human corpses. A crazy experiment with tragic consequences. Shelley’s book has already been made into films several times. This is the most famous adaptation horror James Whale from 1931 with the unforgettable role of Boris Karloff playing the monster. It was this film that ignited the imagination of the young Guillermo del Toro.
