The star actor of the popular soap opera “Gen Hospital”, Tyler Christopher, died at 50. A friend of his would have found him at home without asking him.

Tuesday morning Mr. Local San Diego law enforcement sources told TMZ that officers responded to a 911 call from Christopher’s apartment.
According to the source in question, a close friend of Tyler Christopher entered the apartment using a key given to him by the late actor.
The friend, who has not yet been identified, found the man dead in the bedroom. Reports also suggest that Christopher has been dead for a few days.
A great loss to those close to him
His colleague at “General Hospital” Maurice Benard later confirmed the actor’s death.
“It is with great sadness that we share the news of the passing of Tyler Christopher,” the actor wrote on Instagram. “Tyler died of a heart attack this morning at his apartment in San Diego.”
“Tyler is a truly talented person who lights up the screen in every scene he’s in and loves to bring joy to his loyal fans with his performances,” he added.
Benard also spoke about Christopher’s battle with mental health and addiction.
“Tyler has been an advocate for better mental health and substance abuse treatment, and has spoken openly about his struggles with bipolar depression and alcoholism.”
Tyler Christopher’s death has also been confirmed by the actor’s representative. “The news was incredibly shocking and I am devastated by his loss.”
The late actor appeared in two roles on the ABC soap opera “General Hospital.” From 1996 to 2016, he played Nicholas Cassadine, and from 2004 to 2005, Connor Bishop.
In 2016, Christopher won a Daytime Emmy Award for his work on the series.
Later, from 2017 to 2019, he joined the soap opera “Days of Our Lives” and was later nominated for an Emmy for his role as Stephen DiMera.
