ESRS Compliant Reporting – Online Training

In August, the European Commission adopted the first set of European standards for sustainability reporting – two cross-cutting and ten thematic. They will already be used in reporting for 2024 by the largest companies subject to the new EU Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD). The reports aim to provide investors with comparable environmental, social and governance information to understand companies’ impact on sustainability. It also aims to help companies communicate and manage their environmental, social and corporate performance more effectively, and thus obtain better financing. Collecting ESG data is also important from the point of view of the thousands of Polish companies in corporate supply chains already subject to reporting obligations.

Reporting ESG data according to new uniform standards will be a major challenge for organizations. Therefore, Forbes sponsored the media of the Kompas ESG Academy project launched by the employers’ organization in Poland, under which, during free webinars, experts from KPMG and VELMA ESG share knowledge about the details of ESRS-compliant reporting. The strategic partner of the project is Orlin.

During the training session held in June, experts analyzed the first five criteria from Group “E” – that is, those related to environmental and climate protection. You can still watch these courses By registering for free on the Akadem platformsecondly. The next six meetings, which start on November 6 and continue on Thursday and Friday, will be devoted to five standards from Groups S (Social) and G (Governance). These indicators relate, among other things, to: managing relationships with employees, customers, suppliers and the entire social environment, as well as risk management methods and the application of ethical standards in the field of corporate governance.

ESRS Reporting Academy Part 2 – “S” and “G” Indicators – Registration is freea

– At ESRS, the big challenge is the amount of data that needs to be collected, but it is also important that we not only report what we did in the last reporting year, but it is also about showing that we have a business plan and strategy for the future. Therefore, this will require not only collecting and classifying information, but also creating a strategy for managing all areas as part of non-financial reporting. Moreover, all data will be audited – adds Stanisław Baranski, Director of the Office for Sustainable Development and Energy Transformation in Orlin.

Each webinar will consist of a lecture segment prepared by experts from KPMG and Velma. After the presentations, you will be able to listen to interviews with practitioners who manage the areas discussed in Orlin. In an interview with Dariusz Prosiecki, spokesman for employers in Poland, they will talk about the practical management of the “social” and “governance” areas in a large enterprise, and what are the challenges associated with the implementation of the European standards for sustainable development reporting.

All registered participants who participate in at least four of the six webinars will receive a Kompas ESG/ESRS Academy Certificate of Completion. Register on the website: ESRS Reports Academy Part 2
