This year, at the end of December, a new movie will appear on Netflix. I have no doubt it will be a huge hit – all you have to do is see the trailer to know.
Movie trailers evoke different emotions in us – embarrassment, excitement, sometimes they are simply “good”, but nothing more. There are also trailers that stimulate your imagination so much that you don’t have any doubts about the potential of a particular production. This was the case, for example, with the film “Dune” or the more recent “Blade Runner”, and yesterday Netflix published a trailer that is comparable, in my opinion, to the above-mentioned productions.
We’re talking about “Rebel Moon”, a two-part science fiction story. The first part, i.e “Rebel Moon – Part 1: Child of Fire” will premiere on December 22, 2023 on Netflix.. This would be a great response to a Disney offering filled with hugely popular series from the Star Wars universe.
Aside from the trailer itself, we also got a broader description of the plot of the first part. Well, I have no doubt that Zack Snyder’s production will not disappear from the rankings of the most watched productions for a long time.
After colliding with a moon somewhere at the edge of the universe, Cora (Sofia Boutella), a woman whose past is shrouded in mystery, begins a new life in a quiet farming settlement. However, she soon becomes the population’s only hope for survival when the tyrannical regent Balisarius (Fra V) and his ruthless emissary Admiral Noble (Ed Skrein) discover that the farmers have unwittingly sold their crops to the Bloodaxis (Cleopatra Coleman Wray). Fisher) – for ruthless rebel leaders pursued by the Empire.
Cora and Gunnar (Michiel Huismann), a sensitive farmer unfamiliar with the reality of war, is tasked with finding trained warriors who would risk their lives to defend the people of the Veldt, and sets out in search of the Blood Axe with a group of warriors they have gathered. They are united by their need for redemption. They include pilot and mercenary Kai (Charlie Hunnam); Commander-in-Chief and legendary Titus (Djimon Hounsou); illustrious warrior Nemesis (Donna Bae); Tarak (Staz Nair), a prisoner with royal roots, and Melius (E. Duffy), a resistance fighter.
Meanwhile, on the Veldt, Jimmy (voiced by Anthony Hopkins), an old mechanical defender on standby, awakens to a new target. The new rebels must learn to trust each other and fight together before the Imperial armies wipe them all out.
While you wait for the premiere of Rebel Moon, it’s worth checking out what new releases you can watch on Netflix today. The HBO Max platform has also prepared an interesting offer of films and series for the hot days ahead. What do you think of the latest trailer for Rebel Moon?
