A fan of the Cowboys Fringebands wants to honor the memory of Carl Tremblay by organizing a gathering Thursday evening, at 7 p.m., in the Plains of Abraham, where the group played a reunion concert last July in front of 90,000 people. Vigils are also planned at Jean-Mans Park and L’Assumption in Montreal.

“We were all devastated by the pain we felt. I didn’t expect it to get into me that much,” says Nancy Giroux, who was inspired to invite the group’s activists to the Plains after seeing a large national awareness announcement in Montreal.
“Dear friends, in the melodious echo of our lives, one voice has died, but its song will echo forever in our hearts. This Thursday evening we will honor the memory of a modern poet, the storyteller of our lives, Carl Tremblay, the soul of an entire generation and a people. »
