Tomasz Hajto was Roman Kołtoń’s guest in “Prawda Futbolu”. The former footballer attacked Vice President of Coaching Maciej Matejko on the programme.
PZPN hasn’t had the best press lately. This is due, among other things, to the activities of the federation under the leadership of Cezary Kuleza, but also to the bad attitude of the Polish adult national team.
As if that wasn’t enough, during the U-17 World Cup, an alcohol scandal broke out involving coach Marcin Wodarski’s players.
However, this was not the end, because the presence of Dariusz Kołodziej in the team staff sparked great controversy. This is the man who was allegedly involved in arranging the match between Kraków’s Hotniks and Mutter Lublin in 2005.
Although the case sparked great controversy, the former footballer received the approval of the Vice President of Coaching at the Polish Football Association, Maciej Matejko.
He admitted that he asked Cezary Kulezza for Kołodziej to stay with the team until the end of the tournament.
– After receiving information about the conviction and disciplinary punishment, which have now been erased, I met with coach Kolodziej. I would like to point out that in the U-17 team he was responsible, among other things, for set pieces and making one of the formations. As a member of the staff, he was reported to FIFA, purchased plane tickets to Indonesia and was given duties within the staff. I spoke to President Cesare Kulezza and asked Kolodziej to finish his work at the World Cup in Indonesia – he told “WP Sportowe Fakty”.
It is clear that this action did not please Tomáš Haito, who attacked the activist in “Brauda Futbolo”.
– If I don’t like something I say it. Matejko, this is a failure in the Polish Football Association and fortunately it will end soon. He still publicly points to the fact that he leaves a coach involved in corruption with his children at the World Series… You should resign – he thunders.
– In all the jobs in the world, if you do something wrong, you can get fired. If you have dignity and honor, resign.
The Polish U-17 national team was eliminated from the World Cup after the group stage.
