Square Enix is already counting down to the premiere of the sequel to the fantastic Final Fantasy VII Remake, which promises to be a very solid production that will debut next year on PlayStation 5. Let’s see what else the developers have in store.

The Game Informer editorial team was able to check out the latest trailer for the upcoming Square Enix game and confirm details regarding gameplay time – We’ll complete the main story of Final Fantasy VII Rebirth in about 40 hours, during which time we’ll focus solely on the story. If we wanted to check out a significant portion of side content, we would leave the console after about 60 hours, and the biggest enthusiasts of completing all side quests would have to devote 100 hours to the game.

These are really good results, although we must emphasize that the playing time is tied to the world – Final Fantasy VII Rebirth will receive a giant map divided into zones, and during the game we can move smoothly (without loading the screens) to subsequent locations.

View the Final Fantasy VII Rebirth demo in Crow’s Nest, That is, a completely new location that was not available in the original Final Fantasy VII. It is a sister city to Under Junon, whose residents “share the same hatred towards Shinra” – the location serving as a hub for side quests and mini-games.

In Rebirth, we’ve added these types of cities, like Crow’s Nest – completely new cities that didn’t exist in the original, to delve deeper and create the entire world of Rebirth. We reach this area after completing the mission, and then this place opens. The locals already know that Cloud and the team are part of Avalanche.

Square Enix confirmed this “Side quests play a big role in Final Fantasy VII Rebirth”, although it remains completely optional. Players can, but do not have to, deepen their knowledge of the climate world.

Side quests, of course, provide many additional opportunities to learn about the world and its inhabitants, but one of their main functions in Rebirth is to develop relationships between characters. Certain supporting characters appear alongside Cloud in side quests; Completing the quest will deepen and expand the relationship between Cloud and this character. In this mission, Red XIII is a supporting hero.

The game will feature Cait Sith, who may offer the “most unique” combat system of any character.

On the way to the lighthouse, we encounter a group of enemies. Using a team consisting of Cloud, Tifa, and his new teammate Cait Sith, Hamaguchi begins to fight them. Caita Sith’s combat system may be the most unique of any character in the game. True to the original PS1 system, Cait Sith uses several luck-based mechanics. He can also summon Moogle to change his fighting style, though some moves can only be performed solo, so even when Moogle is summoned, Cait Sith can go down and perform these moves, and Moogle still attacks as a member of the AI. a team. Moogle has her own HP, which appears next to Cait Sith in a circle. If Moogle loses HP, she will disappear and Cait Sith will have to summon another Sith.

The creators of Final Fantasy VII Rebirth have developed exploration, thanks to which we will be able to climb hills, and with the Chocobo we will be able to slide – however, it should be noted that the animals will have different skills.

Square Enix production will get a completely new musical mini-game – during exploration, Cloud finds sheet music, thanks to them he will be able to sit at the piano and play various pieces of music from Final Fantasy VII. Thanks to this, we will test our skills in the music game
