Big changes at Manchester United. Fans have been waiting for this for a long time [OFICJALNIE]

Manchester United announced on Sunday that 25% of the club's shares had gone to INEOS chairman Sir Jim Ratcliffe.

After a good season last season, it seemed that Manchester United would face the challenge of competing for the English Premier League title. But at the moment, Haga's team is only eighth in the standings.

As if that wasn't enough, Old Trafford have won just one of their last five league games.

This undoubtedly puts a big question mark on the Dutch manager's project.

But in the background, long-awaited ownership changes have taken place. It was announced on Sunday that 25 percent of the shares went to INEOS CEO Sir Jim Ratcliffe.

The businessman paid £1.25 million for it.

At this stage, the aforementioned alliance will be responsible for managing the football department. In addition, future investments have already been announced, and Ratcliffe himself plans to be responsible for sporting aspects, such as transfers and the coach issue.

However, if someone expects the change to be already visible in the winter, they may be disappointed. The billionaire will first introduce himself to the club, and the effects of his work will be known within a few months.

– As a young local and lifelong supporter of the club, I am very pleased that we have reached an agreement with the Manchester United Board, who have handed over to us the responsibility of running the club's football operations. While the club's commercial success has ensured that there have always been resources available to win trophies at the highest level, this potential has not been fully realized in recent times.

“We will bring world-class knowledge, experience and talent from the wider INEOS Sport group to help improve the club, while also providing funding to enable future investment at Old Trafford.”
