PKPBLK.  Artur Szumich resigned from the position of President of Trakcja.  He gave two reasons

Artur Szumich resigned on Thursday from the position of Chairman of the Board of Directors of Trakja. This is a company controlled by PKP Polskie Linie Kolejowe.

The Board of Directors of Trakcja SA announced in an announcement to the stock exchange that the company received on Thursday from President Artur Szomić “Announcement of resignation from the position of Member of the Board of Directors – Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Company with effect from January 4, 2024.” We read that “the reason for the resignation was the completion of the mission and new career plans.”

Artur Zumich has held this position since October 2022.

Therefore, the Supervisory Board delegated the duties of Chairman of the Board of Directors of Trakcja SA to Andrej Kozyra.

Trakcja SA – as we read on the PKP PLK website – is one of the largest companies operating in the sector of railway, tram and road infrastructure construction in Poland. In July 2022, PKP PLK acquired a majority stake in Trakcja. The share of PKP PLK in the total number of votes is 82.75%.

Who is Artur Szumich?

Artur Szumisz has more than 20 years of experience in management positions in project-managed production and construction companies – we read about this on the Trakcja company website.

Since 2015, he has been associated with the PKP Polskie Linie Kolejowe SA group, where he served as Member of the Board of Directors, Economic and Financial Director, and then Chairman of the Board of Management of the subsidiary Pomorskie Przedsiębiorstwo Mechaniczno-Torowe sp. Zoo.

Szumisz completed his third cycle doctoral studies at the University of Gdańsk, Faculty of Management, Department of Accounting. Postgraduate graduate of the Faculty of Civil Engineering of Warsaw University of Technology, studies in the field of “Management of infrastructure projects in railway construction”.
