Ubisoft will no longer delay the pirated production release. The company launched the final leg of the marketing campaign, confirmed exciting post-launch plans, showed off the endgame, and even announced an open beta.
After years of delays and a lot of promises, Skull and Bones is already heading to market. The full production premiere will take place in 21 days, but adventurers will have the opportunity to familiarize themselves with the title much earlier.
The Skull and Bones open beta will be released from February 8-11. Creators will provide cross-play and cross-progression on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series Players can reach Infamy level 6 and will have the chance to win 5 exclusive rewards – including unique ship cosmetics, emotes, weapons, and a Pandal Lemur pet. Ubisoft has adopted a somewhat unusual strategy, as participants will be able to transfer progress from the beta to the full version of the game.
Ubisoft has big plans for Skull and Bones. The company wants to develop the production for at least a year and during this time will present 4 seasons of additional content.
There will be no shortage of “Legendary Pirates” in Skull and Bones, and users will have the opportunity to obtain more and more powerful ships to face powerful opponents at the end of each season. The game will provide the opportunity to battle merchant convoys, elite warships, and “other predators of the high seas.”
Ubisoft has presented its final plans for the game:
Discover the intense Endgame of Skull and Bones, where you'll face dangerous challenges, higher stakes, and alliances that can turn into rivalries. Go from working with the Kingpins to competing with them as you face the dangerous consequences of the treacherous pirate life. Take control of The Helm, an unparalleled smuggling giant, and build your own smuggling empire. Control factories across the Indian Ocean, increase profits by strategically controlling trade routes, and invest in improving your operations. Additionally, Legendary Heists and Hostile Takeovers also add exciting twists to empire building, introducing new endgame features each season.
Players will participate in PvP battles, will receive legendary treasure maps, and will also have the opportunity to rise to the top among the Kingpins – in this case, earning rewards will be verified based on the position in the leaderboard. The creators have also set up free, limited-time events in each season.
