Moscow. Tucker Carlson will be interviewing Vladimir Putin

After being fired from Fox News last April, Tucker Carlson launched a new subscription-based streaming platform. He is one of the most popular journalists in the USA, although he has gained fame all over the world.

He arrived in Moscow at the beginning of the week. There were rumors that he was there to interview the Russian president (as the first Western journalist since the start of the aggression against Ukraine on February 24, 2022).

Carlson: Americans don't really know what's going on

Now Carlson has confirmed the speculation. – We are in Moscow to interview Vladimir Putin, and we will do so soon. There are risks associated with such an interview, that's clear. So we thought about it carefully for several months. That's why we decided to do it – he says in a video published on X.

– First of all, because this is our job, we are journalists. It is our duty to inform people. There has been a world-changing war going on for two years, and most Americans have no information. They don't really know what's going on in this part of the world. Here in Russia or Ukraine. But they should know they are paying a price for it, even though they may not be aware of it, he says.

The war in Ukraine is a humanitarian catastrophe. It has claimed thousands of lives, an entire generation of young Ukrainians, and has depopulated Europe's largest country. But the long-term effects are more important. The war changed the shape of the world's armies and trade agreements, as did sanctions. Overall, all of this has turned the global economy upside down. The post-war order, the order that ensured prosperity in the West, is rapidly collapsing. This has consequences for the previously dominant US dollar. He stresses that these are not small changes.

Carlson believes that most countries in the world understand this matter well. – Ask anyone in Asia or the Middle East what the future looks like. Meanwhile, citizens of English-speaking countries seem to be unaware of this. They think nothing has changed. They believe this because no one told them the truth. He accuses the media of corruption and lying to its audiences.

Strong words about the interviews with Zelensky

Carlos points out that the interviews conducted by the American media so far with Volodymyr Zelensky are aimed at “dragging the United States deeper into the war in Eastern Europe and paying the price for it.” – This is not journalism, this is government propaganda, propaganda of the worst kind. He says: The one who kills people.

At a time when our politicians and media are promoting a foreign leader as if he were a new brand, no Western journalist has tried to interview the President of Russia. Most Americans have no idea why Putin invaded Ukraine or what his goals are. They never get to see his side, that's too bad. Americans have the right to know everything about the war they are fighting, and we have the right to tell them about it because we are Americans too, confirms the former Fox News journalist.

-Freedom of expression is our basic right. When we are born, we have the right to say what we believe. No one can take that away from us right away, no matter who lives in the White House. He says that even though they try anyway. -We are not here because we like Putin. He asserts that we are here because we love the United States. He adds that the viewer should know as much as possible to decide for himself what to think.

Tucker Carlson added that he is also seeking an interview with the President of Ukraine.
