Ernst Mucci is close to leaving Legia Warsaw to continue his career at Besiktas. The Istanbul club has made a record offer for the Albanian representative and is on the verge of ending talks with the Polish team – reports Pawel Golaszewski of “Piłka Nożna”.
The attack-minded player joined the 'military' side in February 2021 from FK Tirana for €500,000. Since then, he has systematically developed his skills to show himself well several times in ongoing competitions, especially on European pitches.
The 23-year-old still has a lot of trouble maintaining a consistent, high level for a long time. But this did not prevent him from being targeted by many serious European brands.
In recent weeks, they have taken fairly specific actions aimed at acquiring him. Legia Warsaw's high demands and lack of pressure from Ernst Muchi himself suggest that a potential transfer will take place in the summer at the earliest.
Meanwhile, the recently denied news about Besiktas's serious interest in the Albanian's services has turned out to be true to the point that the Istanbul club is very close to reaching a final agreement with the “Army” on the last day of the winter window in Turkey.
Pawel Golaszewski of “Piłka Nożna”, who previously denied media reports from Bosphorus, believes that the participant of the knockout stage of the European Conference League will receive record team-wide funds from the sale of the Albanian representative. We're talking about an eight-figure sum.
By far, Radosław Majecki left Łazienkowska for the biggest sum of money in the team structure, moving to AS Monaco for seven million euros. On the other hand, the Ekstraklasa transfer record is held by Kacper Kozłowski and Jakub Moder. Pogoń Szczecin and Lech Poznań both left respectively for Brighton & Hove Albion for eleven million euros.
Muçi received a lot of trust from coach Kosta Runjai in the ongoing competition. He played in all 34 matches, scoring nine goals and two assists.
If he is transferred to Besiktas, he will play under Fernando Santos. The Portuguese was recently in charge of the Polish national team's results, and naturally he had the opportunity to observe the almost 23-year-old's actions in our stadiums.
The team from Istanbul has not spent large sums of money on winter reinforcements so far, as it acquired Jonas Svensson from Adana Demirspor on a free transfer, and loaned Joe Worrall from Nottingham Forest.
Currently, the team is third in the Premier League table and has a heavy loss of 24 points behind the leading duo – Galatasaray and Fenerbahce.
🆕Ernest Mussi is very close to leaving Legia Warsaw. The Polish runners-up have received a record bid from Besiktas Istanbul and are very close to an agreement. The Albanian will become the most expensive player in the history of the capital club. The birds are chirping that there is money at stake…
