“You know what? It didn't work for Justin,” Usher announced on Breakfast Club radio New York Post. “I think the truth is that he wanted to tell a different story, and I understand that,” said Justin Bieber's mentor and former collaborator.

Usher confirms he has discussed planning a Super Bowl halftime show with Justin Bieber, but with multiple artists.

“Getting ready for the Super Bowl is very stressful, so I wrote to everyone. Justin wasn't the only person I talked to,” she continues.

Even though Justin Bieber turned down a Super Bowl invite, Usher totally understood his decision. He says it's only a matter of time before Justin Bieber performs at the Super Bowl halftime show.

“Maybe it's too late… He's going to play in the Super Bowl. I will give it to him in future. He has a worthy career. It hasn't happened yet, but that doesn't mean it never will.
