Just yesterday, Pyotr Stokojets denied rumors that he had received an ultimatum from the club authorities ahead of the Lodz derby, Meanwhile, FC Lodz announced today that the 51-year-old has ceased working as head coach.
Stokowiec has been with the Lodz team since October 12. He replaced Kazimierz Moskal, who, after his promotion to the Ekstraklasa, had a poor start in the league – 7 points from 11 matches. The new coach was supposed to save the team from relegation, but, to put it mildly, he did not perform well.
Thank you coach!

The former coach of Lechia Gdańsk led the team in nine matches and did not record a single win in the Extraklassa. His record in league matches is three draws and six defeats. ŁKS has also been eliminated from the Polish Cup and is in last place in the league table with only 10 points after 20 matches. The straw that broke the camel's back was Sunday's 0-2 derby defeat to Widzew in front of the home fans.
Stokowiec's former assistant, Łukasz Smolarow, also left the club.
ŁKS confirms in its official announcement that the name of the new coach will be announced today.
to update:
Stokowiec's successor was Marcin Matysiak.
From working with the youth teams in the ŁKS Academy, through the reserve team to the first team. Good luck, coach!https://t.co/shtizccdrq
