“The Bear” star Ayo Edebiri stars in the new sci-fi thriller “Omni Loop,” which debuted with a perfect score on Rotten Tomatoes. The film, which premiered at SXSW, received critical acclaim for its original approach to the time loop idea.
“Omni Loop” is the story of physicist Zoya (played by Mary-Louise Parker). He knows he has a week to live due to the advanced state of his illness. This is not the first time that Zoya has heard this news. Every time her last week ends, She swallows a pill that takes her back for seven days. Edebiri plays Paula, a quantum physics student, who Zoya recruits to help her use her limited “for now” ability to travel through time.
Bernardo Brito created a wonderful work. Critics are delighted with the new film, praising it for its brilliant use of the time loop in which our heroine moves.
“Omni Loop” is a beautiful and at the same time bittersweet movement that forces us to think about the smaller universes that exist around us – we read in the “Variety” review. At the same time, “Collider” praises the film for delving into the science of time loops in a way rarely seen in other films of the genre.
Ayo Edbere will also play a voice role in the sequel to Disney's “Inside Out 2”, Which will arrive in theaters in June 2024. The actress will also reprise her role as Sydney in the third season of The Bear. And perhaps in the fourth season, because there are rumors that work on it is already underway.
