Yesterday, a huge update was released for Stardew Valley, which attracted a lot of people to the game. The list of changes and novelties that went into production as part of it can be terrifying in length, however There was no mention of a rather disturbing secret.

The creator of this quintessential RPG, Eric “ConcernedApe” Barone, decided to destroy the so-called fourth wall, like the creators of some productions with horror elements (such as Doki Doki Literature Club or Undertale). A new feature introduced to the game with update 1.6 is related to a common glitch.

As the user noted is back Nicknamed Snail51, at the top, a location only available after completion Stardew Valleya new “movie scene” appeared. If the player goes there prematurely due to the map border crossing error, he will be greeted by the master. Che. When the music stops and our character looks at the strange background with falling icons, the mysterious stranger will say:

Please, Please, Please. Look who “managed” to reach the top [ang. the summit – dop. red.]. Did you think you were very smart? I thought: “How can I use a game bug to my advantage?” Or to put it more simply: “I want, I want, I want, I want, I want, I want, I want, I want, I want, I want, I want, I want, I want, I want.” It's despicable.

After crossing the map border, Mr. Che speaks directly to the player…

…and then kill us? Or maybe it's just scary?

Immediately after that, the game scares you with a kind of 'jump cart' – Mr. Suddenly Chi approaches us and we wake up in Harvey's clinic. It must be admitted that this is a very interesting “Easter egg”, which was added by Eric Baron, who decided to surprise fans rather than completely remove the bug from the game.

It is worth noting that there is no actual benefit to simply reaching the top by crossing the borders of the map, so Mr. Hans. Qi exaggerates the amount of “cheating” on the player's part. Still, it's an interesting move, and one wonders if fans will soon discover other similar secrets added as part of update 1.6.
