Princess Kate Middleton, the most famous wife of the heir to the British throne and mother of three young children, created a huge shockwave on Friday when she announced that she had cancer.

“In January I had major abdominal surgery in London. At the time, I was considered cancer-free. The surgery is successful. However, tests carried out after the operation revealed the presence of cancer,” he revealed on Friday in a video of about two minutes posted on his social networks.
The Princess of Wales, 42, said in a quiet and calm voice that she had started preventive chemotherapy, without specifying what type of cancer she was suffering from. She admitted the news came as a shock to her husband Prince William and their three children, all under the age of 10.
“It took us a while to explain everything to George, Charlotte and Louis, to reassure them that I would get through this in a way that was appropriate for them,” says Kate Middleton with a weary face.
The latter, who can be seen in the video sitting on a bench surrounded by flowers, says that her private life now requires time and respect during cancer treatment.
A shower of reactions
This sober scene had a bombshell effect on Friday afternoon.
Confirms the Monarchist League of Canada-Quebec magazine “Saddened” by the news.
“We were very emotional to learn that she had cancer. It was a total shock. I think it took us by surprise,” said Karim Al-Dahta, who was shocked by the announcement.
It didn't take long for messages of support to pour in from around the world.
King Charles III said he was “proud of the courage” shown by his eldest son William's wife, Princess Kate. Last February, Raja revealed that he was suffering from cancer. Prince Harry and his wife Meghan, in a press release, wished them “health and recovery”.
Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau is hoping for a “speedy and complete recovery” for the princess.
“On behalf of Canadians, I extend my support to him during his treatment,” he wrote on social media.

Kensington Palace announced in January that Kate Middleton had undergone major abdominal surgery. He had warned her that she would not return to public office before Easter.
