1. Enjoy watching the April 8, 2024 solar eclipse
We can't ignore the natural phenomenon of spring: the total solar eclipse on April 8. For the event, many free activities are organized across the city and can be accessed for free. 2. Stop at two parks celebrating their 150th anniversary

Two large urban parks celebrate 150 years this year: Saint-Hélène Island and La Fontaine Park. At the heart of the latter, the Theater de Verdure offers free performances of all genres from June 28.
When it's time to go for a short walk or bike ride, Mount Royal Park is just a few steps away from the city center for some relaxing time in nature.
3. Enjoy Museum Month

May is the Montreal Museums Month, allowing you to discover many exhibitions by your favorite museum institutions for free. The Montreal Museum of Fine Arts Offers free entry to all collections for ages 20 and under Montreal Museum of Contemporary ArtThe McCord Stewart Museum And this Canadian Center for Architecture Providing free access to children under 12 years of age.
Note that most museums offer free entry every first Sunday of the month!
4. Start the festival season

Spring also means the beginning of the festivals that will rock Montreal in the coming months, starting at the end of April. Montreal can be discovered by its cycle paths! Hop on your mount to comb every corner of the metropolis on two wheels. Explore the Berges Cycle Route, which takes you along the Saint-Laurent River to Lake Saint-Louis (21 km), Cape Saint-Jacques Natural Park (15 km) or the Christopher-Columbus Cycle Route to the surroundings of the 'Wonderland'. Île-de-la-Visitation Natural Park (25 km).
