When the village church needed expensive renovations in 2008, she didn't hesitate to organize a benefit concert with her friend Ginette Reno.
The church was renamed “Jean-Pierre Ferland Cultural Place” in his honor.
Jean-Pierre Ferland's impact will be felt in this municipality for a long time, says its mayor.
“He has lived in Saint-Norbert for at least 50 years, longer than I have lived here, and he has helped the church a lot. […] “We were lucky to have him to help us,” says Sonia Desjardins. He was the nicest citizen we met.
The municipality will lower its flags at half-mast from Monday in honor of the legendary singer.
