The Pentagon confirms: The Russians will no longer use Starlinks

Bloomberg cites John Blum, head of the US Department of Defense’s Space Policy Division, who said the US “has actively cooperated with the government of Ukraine and SpaceX to counter Russia’s illegal use of Starlink terminals.”

“We have been successful in opposing Russian use so far, but I am sure Russia will continue to try to find ways to exploit Starlink and other commercial communications systems,” Bloom said.

The Pentagon official did not specify the tactics, methods and procedures used to end Russia’s use of Starlink stations. But he stressed that these were “good solutions” reached with Starlink and Ukraine.
