PS5. Insider explains why PlayStation Studios isn’t releasing new products

Since the premiere of “Marvel’s Spider-Man 2,” players haven’t seen any major announcements from PlayStation Studios. Popular insider Shinobi602 explains that the main reason is the long production time of modern AAA games.

Games like “Horizon Forbidden West” and “God of War Ragnarok” take years to develop, making regular delivery of new games impossible.

Insider notes that development teams are increasingly choosing the strategy of not disclosing their projects at an early stage. To fill the gap in exclusive games, Sony is focusing on titles created by outside developers, allowing for continuity of supply.

Shinobi602 adds that some games are only announced when they are in an advanced stage of production. This strategy allows you to avoid delays and disappointment of players due to long waiting times. Instead, SIt can focus on quality and provide high-end and satisfying products.

We also cannot forget the difficult conditions in which development teams worked during the pandemic. This has greatly affected the pace of production, and thus the frequency of announcements of new titles. Regardless, fans can be sure that PlayStation Studios is working on several exciting projects that will be revealed soon.
