Ubisoft responds to Elon Musk over Assassin’s Creed Shadows criticism: ‘It fuels hate’

Assassin’s Creed: Shadows is still facing criticism from some people. One of them is Elon Musk. The game’s creator reacted to the billionaire’s comment and commented on the matter.

The latest game in the Assassin’s Creed series is one of the biggest releases this year. We had to wait a long time for the official reveal of AC: Shadows. However, not everyone was satisfied with the solutions chosen by Ubisoft. Some players are openly critical of the heroes we control in the game.

Even Elon Musk decided to comment after the premiere. The entrepreneur accused the creators of focusing on so-called DEI Diversity, equity and inclusion:

DEI kills art

Ubisoft has not decided to respond for a long time, but now one of the creators of Assassin’s Creed: Shadows has spoken out. Marc-Alexis Côté admitted he wanted to respond to Musk immediately, but ultimately refrained from doing so.

This tweet brought up so many emotions… The first thing I wanted to do was go back to the X – which I deleted – and just reply to the tweet. I didn’t decide to do that. I have a Mindfulness app, which I used to take a mindfulness test to try to gauge the emotions this tweet evoked. It’s sad, but Elon only fuels hatred. I’ve come to the conclusion that by attacking someone like Elon… I’m not going to convince people to see our team’s point of view.

Ubisoft confirms that once players try the new Assassin game, they will definitely love the game. The production promises to be great, and the ability to change characters on the fly will add a lot of freshness to the series.

Assassin’s Creed: Shadows will be available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series
