Interestingly, not all household chemical products are cheaper among our western neighbors. Many have the same prices as us. This of course means that it is less expensive for the Germans to buy them than for us. It must be remembered that they earn much better than the Poles. However, there are also products whose low price is shocking. For the Germans it must cost a penny!
What surprised us the most? Prices of laundry liquids and capsules. In Rossmann near Berlin, a 1.75 liter Lenor fabric softener was sold for less than 3.3 euros. It’s just over 14 Polish zlotys! In Poland, the same product costs about PLN 24. And that’s not all. In Germany, we came across the free 3+1 promotion. This means we bought four large bottles of Lenor for just over €13. This means 43 Polish zlotys. The cost of one package is less than 11 PLN! In Poland, such a low price is basically unattainable.
It is worth buying German chemicals and saving money
It is also much cheaper when it comes to washing capsules from various well-known companies. We had to pay PLN 43 for 38 Ariel capsules. In the Polish company Rossmann, its price reaches PLN 84.99, and it costs only six capsules. Even if the German pharmacy has a very attractive promotional price, you cannot count on such discounts here.
Most of the laundry products we chose were much cheaper at German Rossmann or Aldi than ours. Some products are difficult to compare because they come in different weights in different countries, but at first glance it is more profitable to buy them in Germany than in Poland.
They bring chemicals from Germany to Poland
A YouTuber, who posts under the name “Polish Woman in Germany,” admitted in a recording that she not only buys chemicals and takes them to her family and friends in Poland, but also takes them herself. A few years ago, she saw that the difference between the price of fabric softener and toilet cleaner was so great that when she went to Poland for a longer stay, she preferred to take these products from Germany, for her own use here as well.
