The Board of Directors of PKP Cargo has decided to carry out mass layoffs at the company’s factories and headquarters. The mass layoffs will cover up to 30% of employees.
The result of the adoption of a decision, pursuant to the Law of 13 March 2003 on special rules for the termination of employment relations with employees for reasons not attributable to the employees, is the initiation of consultations on the intention to carry out mass layoffs of workers with the company’s trade unions operating in the company’s factories and its headquarters.
Mass layoffs will cover up to 30% of the company’s employees (up to 4,142 employees) in various professional groups and will be carried out in the period: no later than the day following the date of notification of the regional labor offices until September 30, 2024 – we read in the stock exchange report.
